Name: James Potter

Age: 19
Timeline: After his wedding to Lily, before Harry's a thought tho
Age Up?: nah he did that himself
Background: @ la wiki
Personality:Here it is. People either seem to think of James as a saint or the devil and there's very little opinion in the middle. Perhaps it's because he is, essentially, both of these people. His deepest nature is good, but it is true that he really only shows that to his closest friends and not because he doesn't trust people but because he doesn't flaunt it. He doesn't see the need to prove to anyone that he's a good person because he knows that he is and that's enough for him.
Because James comes from a world and a time when the blood status of a wizard matters more than their ability, and there's a reign of terror going on, where people are disappearing, dying, being tortured, being forced to do horrible things and there's only a small sliver of wizards that are willing to stand up and fight it actively. Most people are afraid and they should be and honestly, so is James. He's terrified pretty much every day, especially for the lives of his friends and his wife. Because they're all in the Order and because they're all misfits and seen as lesser by Voldemort and his followers for various reasons which is just the biggest load of shit if you asked him. They're his friends, he loves them and would do pretty much anything for them. Die for them if the situation called for it (and it will when he's 21 and it's his son's life on the line). He's never bought into ideas about pureblood superiority and whatever he might seem, he hates the Dark Arts with the passion of a thousand suns.
He's done a lot of growing up in the past two or three years, that's true but he is still a nineteen year old kid and that's important to keep in mind. He's not an old man, he still makes mistakes, he still has this perhaps naive belief that everything is going to be okay if they just keep fighting. Safe to say that he's not jaded or cynical. He would consider it the worst betrayal to ever mistrust one of his friends and even as it's becoming obvious that there's a spy in the Order, he refuses to believe it. He would die for any of them and it only makes sense to him that they'd do the same. That no one else would cave.
So the devil side of James. He's kind of a prankster. And that's kind of an understatement. He likes his jokes and pranks. Of course he does, he grew up as an only child in a rich home so things people learned from their siblings, he never did. He likes to have fun and to have a good laugh and that's really all it is in the end. There's nothing malicious about his jokes, not in his mind anyway but for a long time there, he didn't see his actions as bullying at all. Which, he still has trouble with it sometimes. But he's learned to scale it back big time, and to realize when he's crossing the line between an actual silly thing and just plain bullying. He's grown up, but that could really be expected as he's getting older and coming to prioritize better and having more responsibility, something that he thrives under. He needs to be held accountable or yes, he will just run wild like a demented hooligan. Especially when with Sirius, they just egg each other on.
There is exceptions to every rule though and the exception to James being a full adult is Severus Snape. Whom he hates with the fury of a thousand suns and someone that he can't pass up the opportunity to strike first against. This is partially because Snape never misses the chance either and James doesn't take things laying down very well. He always has to be in action or doing something, sitting on his hands and taking the passive road is hard for him.
He's loyal as fuck have i said that.
Powers:James is a Hogwarts trained wizard so by the wizarding world standards, he's a full adult. He's actually rather clever for his age, and noted by his professors for being particularly talented at magic. His wand is apt for Transfiguration and it seems to be his favorite subject anyway since he became an Animagus at 15, a process that takes most wizards at least 7 years and most people who attempt it don't succeed and it can go horribly wrong.
But none of this really matters because at the hotel, he won't be able to perform magic, even though he'll have his wand, and he won't be able to transform into a beautiful, majestic stag.
Do you want a power wipe? Not really but since his magic is totally fucked, it won't matter
Humanization: n/a
Suitcase: Some robes, a couple jumpers and trousers, his wand, his wedding ring if it's not on his hand when he wakes up, his Invisibility Cloak that will just be a normal cloak, a handheld mirror that is supposed to be connected to the twin Sirius has but won't work here.
Surprise? fucking do it
Other Notables: I got nothing.
SAMPLES
Network Sample: [Guaranteed James has spent so much time trying to figure this thing out and what it is and how it works if it's not magical because it's certainly not magical. Muggles made this. Knew he should've taken Muggle Studies but no, he had to go take Divination and Arithmancy like a twat.
Words appear on the screen by themselves. It lights up like a wand would. If he taps the smooth screen, things happen. Muggles are brilliant, fascinating but sometimes they make things that he just doesn't understand.
Finally his tapping reveals something that acts like a mirror and hey. That's new and exciting. Look how pleased with himself he is.]
What is this then, like a tellyvision? Only in reverse. Brilliant but useless really. What's wrong with a simple mirror?
